|Tanner del Rosario|
|Birthday:||August 10, 1988|
|Address:||34/C Russell Avenue, Lebeaux|
Tanner is an attractive man and even he knows it - especially him. He works out as often as he can to keep his body in shape, and he also does that since he wants to keep in shape for his job as an officer. He has curly, dark brown hair that is usually completely messed up. He's also a little over the average height. As for clothes, when he's not wearing his uniform, he'll wear a t-shirt and faded jeans.
Tanner is a very clever individual. He can also be meticulous, since has a great way of noticing all the little details in life. He always felt that being able to solve clues and figure things out easily would help him one day become a world famous detective, but since his childhood dream, he's become a police officer instead. He still uses these skills, of course, as any officer should. He also knows how to use things to his advantage and take good opportunities, always seeking out paths that will help his career and life along. Tanner does often hang out around bars and clubs on his days off though, just to kick back and relax.
Even so he seems like a great guy at first glance, Tanner actually can't really find himself actually opening up to people or making friends easily. He is a very guarded person, keeping his thoughts and feelings hidden away so people can't ever actually hurt him. Although he doesn't really realize it or want to admit it, he has a secret fear of actually ever caring and loving someone. Ever since he was a kid, he saw how his parents always argued and never got along, and when they got a divorce when he was in high school, he decided relationships don't actually work and there are never actually feelings involved in anything. His subconscious has decided that there's no such thing as love - whether it be romance, friendship, or family love. There are just people in the world who pretend to care about one another - or at least that's what he believes. Because of this belief, Tanner is a very emotionally detached when he is in relationships. He also usually has more than one relationship going on at one time since he's in it for the fun of it all. Sometimes he thinks he actually really cares about one of the women, but then he decides that he actually really doesn't.
Tanner del Rosario grew up in Blackwood Mountain as the eldest child of three. His parents were always happy to have three kids, thinking they would keep them together. Tanner had no idea that before his birth, his parents had actually been planning on getting a divorce, but with the announcement of his mother's pregnancy, they decided to stay together. After Tanner, they had two more children who were both girls, Clara and Maya. Even though they thought that children would bring their relationship happiness, it seemed to do the opposite for Tanner's parents. They started arguing more often and there was almost never a moment when they weren't fighting. Tanner grew up in a household where he had to mainly take care of himself and his sibling since his parents were rarely home due to wanting to avoid each other at all costs.
When Tanner began attending Barfield High School, he started getting questioned about what he wanted to do with his future. Teachers always wanted him to make a decision that would work out well, and he always said he wanted to be a detective. Ever since he was a kid, he dreamed of being able to solve mysteries of murders, but as he grew older, he realized that detectives didn't only solve murder cases, but other ones too. It seemed boring to him, so he switched his mind and began looking at a completely different line of work. Still, he wanted to do something like that with his life, even if he claimed differently. However, the one clue he never realized was that of his parents and their upcoming divorce. When he was sixteen, his parents finally decided to split. They'd officially grown tired of each other and all of the arguing. After a few months of dealing with the legal work, Tanner's parents were finally able to divorce and Tanner and his sisters stayed in Blackwood with their mother while their father moved to Barfield to move in with a woman that he had evidently been seeing the past few years.
At first, Tanner had no idea how to react to his parents' divorce. He was surprised and confused about it all, but after a while, he realized that it had been there all along. The constant fighting and avoidance of each other for basically all of Tanner's life were sure to have this outcome. When he also learned of his father seeing another woman, he realized that his father never loved his mother, and she never loved him. Slowly, he started to believe that there really wasn't anything called love. It was just some fictional thing people invented due to boredom and longing. From his experience with this so called love, all it did was end in disaster and hurt families even worse.
After graduating BHS, Tanner started attending Barfield Community College. He graduated two years later with an associate's degree in general studies since he still had no idea what he really wanted to do with his life. A year after graduation and working as a waiter, Tanner decided to go ahead and become a police officer. He went through the police training for four months, and during the last month, he was recruited by the Lebeaux Police Department. Originally, he planned on working for the department in Barfield, but after being asked a few times by Lebeaux, he decided to just go with them. He moved from Barfield to Lebeaux, and began working for the department there.
Since beginning his new job, Tanner has started living life completely differently. Previously in college and high school, he was rarely ever in an actual relationship and if he was, it was just an occasional one night stand that he never saw again - unless it was that awkward moment in the supermarket or something of the likes. When he was twenty-three, Tanner started to actually try dating, thinking that maybe he could actually find someone to stick with for a while. However, as soon as the girl started suggesting living together or said "I love you," he was out of there as fast as he could. Relationships such as that were weird and awful in his opinion, although mainly it was just him being scared, which he would never admit. After a while, he started trying to date again, but somehow he managed to start accidentally seeing two women at once. Surprisingly, he enjoyed being with both of them, but broke up with them after a while. When he was twenty-four, Tanner started seeing a woman who was actually dating another guy, although she never mentioned it to him. However, one day he noticed a ring on her finger and she admitted to being engaged. He simply shrugged and decided to continue seeing her. Even though she's now married, Tanner and her are still seeing each other and go on dates to cities and towns away from Lebeaux and people who know them - or, at least, her. He's also recently started seeing two other women, although he thinks he's probably going to call it off with them.
Tanner's family has never exactly been the closest one in the world. His mother and father divorced when he was still in high school, so ended up staying with his mother as his father left the family. His mother, Miranda, never remarried although she did often date different guys, hoping to find someone else. Currently she's been dating a guy for the past two years, although Tanner believes that will end soon. His father, Jessie, moved to Barfield and was remarried, but the two recently got a divorce a year ago.
Tanner has two younger sisters, Clara and Maya. Clara currently works as a secretary for some business in Lebeaux. The two used to be pretty close until they got into an argument a few years ago. Tanner can't really remember what it was about, but Clara sure does remember and she stills holds him to it. Maya and him are closer with each other though. She currently works as a waitress. She was recently evicted from her apartment, and Tanner let her move in with him since he had a spare room.
He has some friends, although most of them are from the police force.
